7 months old!! Savannah had a very busy month! She had her first trips to the beach and the mountains! She spent a ton of time with family and she helped me celebrate my first Mother's Day:-) Savannah started solids and LOVES food. She's our little piggie!! It's amazing to watch how quick her motor skills are developing! She is pulling up when she holds on to us, grew two more teeth, and has learned to "dance". She adores Carter and gives the biggest smiles to him. (Too bad he still doesn't care for her much) She still doesn't love nap time or getting overtired. We love watching her grow so so so much. She has just brought us so much joy than we ever knew was possible! Love you baby girl!!💕
Starting solids! We started with carrots! We decided to do Baby Led Weaning with Savannah and it could not have been more perfect for us. Basically, you start with table food from the get-go. No purees. It's supposed to help them learn to chew first and swallow second, where purees they learn to swallow first. I'm not gunna lie- some food was more scary than others, but we never had any issues with her choking and I will do it with each and every kid I have and I highly recommend it. :D
Eating her hand while she waits. lol
Noms!
Next we did avocados! She had the BEST faces
Not so sure about the texture...
hahahahaha
John had a work trip to Atlantic Beach and Savvy and I decided to tag along. John extended our hotel stay so we could celebrate Mother's day at the Beach! Perfect!
Pretty sure we moved our entire house out :(
Napping in the hotel bed with me :D I LOVE those cheeks!
Getting some breakfast while daddy worked!
TOO CUTE! Getting ready for dinner one night :D
I set up a little play area for her so I could get ready too
She is the cutest thing EVER
Hanging with her BFF Violet!
Having a conversation together
BED TIME!
She actually slept in her pack and play that we put partially inside the closet so she had her own "room". We also hung a sheet. Otherwise, we were stuck going to bed at 7pm with her. lol. I wish I got a picture, but it worked great for all of us!
Checking out the pier
Ready for the beach/pool!
John has the rest of the pictures on his camera, so I'll need to snag some. BUT we headed to the beach. I sat her down in the sand and I went to take her cover up off and she fell forward and face planted into the sand :( We both cried. Then we tried the ocean and that wasnt great for an already screaming baby. I felt HORRIBLE. So we called it a day and tried the pool. The pool ended up being freezing, so she was chattering her teeth, so we got out and went back to the room. lol. Not a successful first trip for both, but at least we tried!
Too cool for school.
We tried the beach one more time before we headed home. She seemed to like it much better and even napped on the beach!
We had such amazing food during our trip and had a great time! Before heading back home we stopped at this little fish taco stand. The food was AMAZING. Overall, it was a GREAT first mother's day!! :D
Savannah also made Mommy an ovenmit!
Savannah hung out with me a bunch while I got dinner ready! aka she didnt want to be put down, so I had to get creative. lol I gave her a pepper to nom on!
She seemed to like it a lot!
She has been given the cutest little outfits!
More selfies with Mommy- we tend to take these every month :D
Trying to get some selfies with Carter too...
She loves him, but he's not having it. lol
Nana came to visit!
We had lunch and hung for for just a little bit. John was out of town, so it was nice to see my mom and play with Savannah with her!
Pulling to stand up! My munchkin is getting so big!
SO proud of herself!
At the end of the month, we went to the mountains with Grandpa, Grandma, Julie and Joel! Aunt Linda let us borrow her cabin for the weekend and it was great to get to spend some quality time with family! :D
On our way!
Snuggles with grandpa on the porch!
Our view!
Noming on some carrots!
Playing with Grandpa!
Snuggles with Aunt Julie and Uncle Joel!
After this picture, we headed home. I'm not going to lie- it was a rough trip home! Savannah had starting biting me while nursing in the mountains! OUCH. and she was super fussy the ENTIRE ride. Every time I tried to nurse her to calm her down on the way home, she would bite :( I dont even remember how many times we pulled over. After we got home we checked her mouth out- and sure enough- two more teeth! Her top teeth were pushing through and they must of have been hurting her pretty bad :( Luckily, once they popped through she stopped biting :D PHEW! and was back to her happy self :D
At the end of the month- Cinco was born!!! Savannah's new bestest little friend! We are so excited to watch you grow and get to play with you! Congrats to some of our very best friends AJ and Kristen! We cannot wait to meet him!!!
