OHH OHH We're halfway there!! 20 weeks!

June 20th
Baby is the size of an axolotl this week. It kind of creeps me out, but she's about 10inches long! Getting bigger! We've switched from measuring from crown to rump, to head to toe! The baby is practicing swallowing now and has eyelashes and eyebrows. Her little face is almost developed! I cant wait to see it!

How's Mama? I'm doing well! I'm still getting headaches every now then. Heartburn has been a little worse lately, but nothing that Tums doesnt help:D I gained a little weight this week and grew 1/2 inch in my waist, but nowhere else. This week was a very long week. But more on that later :D Saturday night I felt the baby kick!! and then again on Sunday Morning!! John was even able to feel her kick! It was so neat. She was pretty active all day. It's been really nice to be able to feel her a little more :D
How's Daddy? Exhausted- his annual meeting is this week and he's doing BARBRI. We'll both be glad when both are done! He's worked very hard on both of these projects, especially annual meeting and the light is at the end of the tunnel! As far as baby girl is concerned, John has started to brainstorm how we want to do her room! We havent gotten far, but I think it's really sweet :D Daddy LOVED being able to feel his little girl kick too :D

This week: This week has a tons of ups and downs. First let me start with the biggest UP! John and I celebrated our 8th anniversary!!!
I cant believe it's been 8 years since we said "I do." It's been an amazing journey and I cant wait to see how our story continues to develop. I dont know how it's possible, but I continue to love this man more and more each day. :D Happy Anniversary Babe!!

Our biggest low this week was the passing of John's Uncle Scotty. He has been on the decline the past few weeks and decided he didnt want to continue his fight any longer. We got the call to go and say our last goodbyes. He actually woke up and saw us while we were there! He was very out of it, but he gave me a kiss and got to "meet" the baby. It was incredibly hard seeing the family suffer so much. The doctors slowly weened him off his ventilator and he passed quickly. The funeral was actually on our anniversary. :( So we spent the day in Fayetteville with family.

Wednesday I headed down to Davidson College for a site visit, while John headed to Charlotte for his annual meeting. I timed my trip perfectly so I could just stay in the Charlotte area with him for the next few days. So after my visit, I headed down town to the Charlotte Westin. I worked from the hotel while John worked the annual meeting. We were able to spend some time together! We went out for pizza one night, went to Heist again another. We took Brad and Jenny to Heist and they agreed with how delicious of a place it is! Saturday during the day we got to do a tour of Panther's Stadium which was really cool! and Saturday night was the Gala. It was hosted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, which was actually REALLY cool. We got all dressed up, had dinner, got to look around the Hall of Fame, danced some, and also got to drive a simulated race car! WAY fun! John had his first "father daughter dance" it was precious. Sunday we got up and got some lunch and headed out! We got lunch at this taco place in Charlotte and they were some of the best tacos we've ever had! It was a crazy busy week!
Dinner at Heist!
