After Vacation....

Well to sum up vacation, I have to say it was one of the best vacations ever. I never knew how much I would miss Raleigh and everyone. Dont get me wrong, I knew I would miss everyone, but I just didnt know how much. I feel like going home really has shown us the people that our truly our friends and who we will be friends with when we move home and even for the rest of our lives.

I cannot wait to move back to Raleigh. If it wouldnt have been for my responsible side I would have moved back. I know I may have regretted moving back so soon, but I really miss our family and friends. Like WOAH. I know Christ has a plan for us here though and I need to accept that. So I will, but be excited for when I do move home one day :D

Anyway, a few things happened this week.
1) I weighed in and only gained 5lbs. I count that as a win. lol With all the food I ate over 2 week- score! haha.
2) I had to work overtime every day. I didnt get home until about 7 each night :( Fail. A quick way to burn me out QUICK already. ugh. work has just been SO busy :( and I dont think it's going to slow down until September. suck face.
3) Have not been able to start p90x because of the awful hours :(
4) John may have a new job soon!! MUCH better pay and hours- update as soon as it happens!

Anyway, my plan is to next week start p90x again and try to get back into shape. I will keep you posted!

The Brinns Visit Miami!

Tuesday morning John and I packed up the car and headed to my mom's house! We picked them up around 5:30am. ugh! SO early, lol. BUT we wanted to get back to Miami as early as possible. 5 people and a dog in the car, who knows how long it would take!?

We stopped at Bojangles on the way down and hit the road! We took turns rotating who sat where and me and John switched off driving since it was so early. We got to chat with my family a lot. It was nice. :D When we got to the Daytona Beach area, a white Explorer passed us and almost hit us. After that about 9 cop cars passed us and we realized they were chasing him! After that we saw cops pulling off on exits to set up road blocks and more cops passed us. It was CRAZY! My sister recorded the whole thing...lol. Then all the sudden we had to stop because a cop was running across the highway, we looked over and saw the Explorer with the doors open and people running and a helicopter hovering over an area nearby. WHAT IN THE WORLD!? haha needless to say we told my family we planned that for them. haha Interesting to say the least!

Anyway, we got to Miami around 7 and showed my family around our apartment and got them settled in. We decided to go out to eat since it was so late. They wanted to try some Cuban food, so we took them to Havana Harry's. It was YUMMY and they gave us too much food! After dinner we went grocery shopping for the week and then went to bed so we could be up early for the beach! :D
Dinner:D

Wednesday morning we had planned to get up around 8 but when we got up it was raining, so everyone slept in. Which was fine by me :D I was exhausted after our Raleigh vacation! After we slept in some, I got up a little bit earlier than everyone else and made everyone breakfast :D I got everyone up, we ate, got ready, and then decided to go ahead and go to Homestead for the day. One of the main things my mom wanted to do when she came down was go to Homestead since she grew up there. 20 years after she moved from there we went there for the day. We went and saw her old house (which was very different after Hurricane Andrew. Even I knew this because I remember it from when I was little). We also got to visit her elementary school, middle school, and high school. It was really neat seeing where my mom grew up and where she went to school. It was weird to think she was little! haha. We drove by her house one last time and on the way saw some avocados growing. It was clearly someones yard, but one of the limbs was hanging over and John grabbed one for us. hahah! :D We also got to see one of my mom's favorite hangouts and the McDonald's she worked at for like 3 years. Very exciting :D On our way to see her elementary school, we happened to run into the church she grew up in. We pulled in and ran into an old man walking back. My mom wanted to stop and ask about the church because the church had a new name, but she was sure it was her old church. We happened to stop the pastor, and he let us in the building. We got to see where my mom went to church and where she was saved. Pretty cool!
Childhood home, or really the remake after Andrew
Elementary School!
Middle school!
High School! with all of us :D
Her childhood church!
Favorite hangout
One of her first jobs, obviously been remodeled since! lol
John "borrowing" the avocado!
Afterwards, we headed home and made dinner. We made tacos for dinner- YUM! and then watched the Dilemma. Great movie! Very funny. We went to bed afterwards so we could get up early and go to the beach:D

Well, we got up and it was raining again. It never rains this much in Miami! Never whole days or at least this many whole days in a row! :( well we slept in and then Housing woke us up. Our furniture from Rooms To Go was here. We got it in and while everyone slept, we started to put it all together. We also went ahead and put up the art we had ordered that came while we were gone. My mom helped :D It was fun. Afterwards, we made lunch and played games for the afternoon. We played for a long time! I also took my family to meet some of my coworkers :D

Then we made dinner- Parmesan crusted chicken- Johns favorite! and then watched a movie. We watched the Adjustment Bureau. It was really good. I liked it a lot anyways! :D We went to bed again in hopes of the beach.

I got up Friday and it WASNT RAINING!! I packed all of our lunches and woke everyone up! We headed out to the beach and spent the day in the sun! :D by about 2pm, I was burnt :( It was overcast and I thought it was going to end up raining. I didnt put on sunscreen like an idiot and got fried :(. On a really sad note, John lost his wedding ring in the ocean :( I didnt cry. But it really sucks :( Glad we have insurance on it. I think we both would have been more upset if it was my engagement ring. YIKES, can you imagine. ugh!

We ended up leaving by about 3:30 because I was already hurting in the sun :(. We did have a lot of fun while we were there (minus losing the wedding ring). It was relaxing :D We went home and got showers and started dinner. We had Mac and Cheese w/ ham that night. I cooked the noodles and when they were almost done I noticed bugs in them!!!! EWW! I had John go buy some more. While he was gone I napped and then I finished cooking when he came back. i was in SO MUCH PAIN! but that doesnt keep me down! haha. We ate and played some more games! And then we watched Social Network and all fell asleep! haha.

The next morning we got them up early and took them to the airport :( We had so much fun with them. I miss them already though:( I hope they all come back again soon! We had such a wonderful time!

4th of July!

Happy Birthday America! We spent the end of our trip home celebrating the 4th! It started on Sunday the 3rd celebrating with John's extended family. Mom and Dad Martin picked us up from Brad's (we stayed there after American Aquarium) and we headed to Fayetteville!

John and I LOVE the farm and had asked Mom Martin if when we were home it would be possible to visit and she got it worked out! In fact, the ENTIRE family came!! There were 24 of us! The family has gotten SO big! We were so big, that we had to eat at the church. haha We ate at the church Mom Martin grew up in and where a lot of his family still goes. It's called Tabor United Methodist and is a beautiful little church; storybook like :D

We got permission to bring Carter (which was good, because we were REALLY excited about him running on the farm with the other dogs!). When we got to the church he met some of the family and then we took him in. We crated him while everyone ate. I was afraid he would bark or be upset because he could see everyone, but he was really really good. He just sat there watching everyone. We ate some amazing food and caught up with the family. I love that side of the family. They are all SO nice and sweet and always make me feel so welcomed :D I can totally see where Mom Martin gets her kindness from :D

After we finished eating, we let Carter out. He was SO good with the family!! He LOVED the babies. Hopefully, he will be like that when we have kids too (not for a LONG time though! haha). Then we all headed the farm to visit. The farm is one of the most relaxing places in the world and probably one of my most favorite places ever. Everything is just so calm :D And with the high paced job I have, I love it more than you can imagine! We sat around and talked, I played with the babies some :D and of course Gretchen and John Ryan asked us to play a game. Also, one of my favorite things about going to the farm! They taught us a new game called Hand and Foot. SO MUCH FUN! :D

We were a little disappointed because the farm dogs are very protective of their home and did not like Carter being there. We had to carry him in because they were a little aggressive towards him. I totally understand because they are protecting their food and home, but I was sad they couldnt be friends. We took Carter out at one point and one of the dogs attacked Carter :( She cut his eye and bit his neck. I freaked. But luckily he was okay. John iced his eye for a long time. Oh well. At least he was okay. He ended up being crated most of the time because the babies were in the house and he would just have wanted to play and lick them. We let him sleep in the bed with us that night because we felt so bad. haha

Anyway, we had SUCH a great time at the farm. I cant wait till we live back in Raleigh so we can go visit more!
all 24 of us! what a good lookin' family!
Julie and her Nephew dog!
Love my man!
The Martin Family!
My sweet little family :D
After we got back from the farm we went and said bye to Krystal and Josh and Hutch since they were at his house still. We get to go visit them in Oct. SO Excited!!

Monday we spent the day with my family! My aunt Val, uncle Kevin, and Grandma came to visit! We went over to my mom's house and had a HUGE lunch! a very patriotic lunch too, including ribs;D YUM. We spent some time with them and then helped my family start packing for their trip down to Miami!

After we left my mom's I went and met up with Jennie, Jordyn, her mom and brother. We got dinner and I was able to catch up with her whole family. I love her mom to death :D When we were leaving she hugged me and called me her other daughter :D LOVE IT! :D

Then it was time for us to pack :( We also spent some time with Johns family AND I bought Julies guitar! YAY! :D Now I have my own to practice!

Overall, it was a great 4th! There are no words to summarize our trip home. I missed it already, even when we were still there. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back soon. Just as soon as we can save up money and buy a house. I like Miami, but there is really no place like home. :D I love Raleigh and all that it is :D

EPIC Weekend!

Just like college, this weekend started on Thursday :D haha John and I had really been looking forward to this Thursday because that meant time with BRAD! And since Brad is pretty much awesome, we were really excited :D

We had worked out that mom and dad Martin would help watch Carter some during the weekend :D THANKS AGAIN!! and Thursday was one of those days. We left Carter with them and headed out to Brads. We stopped at Chick-fil-a first, of course. Oh how I miss Chick-fil-a!! When we got to Brad's we got ready and headed for his pool. It was so nice to just relax and have some pool time and catch up with Brad! While we were there John Moody showed up! I love chatting with John Moody :D He also lost his dad not that long ago, so it's nice talking with someone that's been through something similar. Anyway, after the pool we went and got changed and hung out at Brads for a little bit.

Next we headed to disc golf!!! YES! At our favorite course. We were SO excited :D We had a lot of fun and John had an amazing last shot. The disc hooked on the outside of the cage- unheard of!
After disc golf we went and showered and went to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings, a Mitch and Brad tradition that we swooped on. I definitely ate too many wings! haha Afterwards we headed up to Big Boss, had a few of our favorite beers, and played some shuffle board. John and I LOVE shuffle board and are pretty much addicted! Kristen and AJ also came up there and hung out with us. I really miss that place! We had A LOT of fun goofing off :D
Buffalo Wild Wings!

We never realize that all them were named John, so they had to come up with a cool move for them all to do. haha
Me and Kristen hanging out
We also had to play pool because it's AJs favorite. They weren't posing, this was real. haha
Afterwards we headed back to Brads and stayed the night with him. It's MUCH closer than driving all the way back to North Raleigh. Mitch had left to go out of town that morning, so he let us use his room- SO nice! :D Anyway, Thursday was AMAZING! I love spending time with Brad and John :D I really miss it when we are down in Miami.

Friday morning we got up around noon and went and ate lunch with JENNIE B AND JORDYN!!! I was SO excited! I could not wait to meet her baby girl! Which means she's pretty much mine too since we have been best friends most of our lives. We met them up at Panera Bread off Six Forks Rd and once I saw her, she was mine :D I held her almost the entire time :D I see how moms learn to use 1 hand for everything! She is such a sweet baby! We caught up with Jennie and made plans to see her at least 2 more times while we were home :D
Me and Jordyn!
John's getting good with babies :D TOO CUTE
I still cant believe Jennie has a baby! But here is the 3 of us :D Love them to death!

After lunch we went by John's parents house to pick up Carter. Mom and Dad Martin said he did great! We had ended up washing his bed after camping and Carter apparently LOVES playing with it. He kept them entertained playing with his bed for a while. haha. He also made himself comfy in their house and on their couch. haha Silly pup. They spoiled him rotten!

Anyway, we got him and all his stuff and headed to NC State to meet up with Krystal and Josh! They had decided to make a trip down when they heard we were coming. I was SO happy and couldnt wait to see them! We parked at Syme, our old home and the building I was in charge of. Brought back a lot of memories! On our way to the Bell Tower where we were meeting them, we ran into Aris, my old boss, and Jennie Liner, the Administrative Assistant that I worked closely with. Boy do I miss them! We caught up for a little bit and then we headed off to see Krystal and Josh and to meet Bailey!!

As soon as we found them, Carter went crazy over Bailey. We could barely get them to walk they wanted to play together so bad! We took them over to the Court of Carolinas and let them off leash in the outdoor classroom. We figured they would stay close because they wanted to play with each other so bad. We were right! They played and played and played! while they played, we caught up with Krystal and Josh. Carter and Bailey were so cute together! It was great for Carter because most dogs he plays with dont have the same energy level as him, but Bailey did! So it was awesome. They are both very well behaved. They also shared their water together :D TOO CUTE!
Best of friends :D
playing!
Sitting for a treat!
Sharing their water :D

Next we walked around State just to see what had changed and because we all miss it so much. We also took this as a time to get pictures of our pups around campus :D They were great sports!
Wolf Ears!
John and Carter!
<3 them!
Brickyard
On our walk we checked out the temporary bookstore, which is in the bottom of Harrelson- weird! and we also saw the old bookstore all torn down- so sad!! We did get commandeer a brick though!
The demolition :(

We also finally saw the Kay Yow memorial!
After NC State- we went over to Carter-Finely. John and I really wanted a picture with Carter there- duh. He was only named after it. haha I had also brought all 3 of our jerseys for us to wear. Cheesy? I dont care! Krystal and Josh got some pics of us in front of the Murphy Center and we got some of them :D Then we walked all the way around it, checked out the new scoreboard and then got some pics in front of the Carter-Finley sign. It was SO HOT out!! The puppies were great sports and after all the play time and exercise, I knew Carter was going to PASS OUT. haha
Murphy Center
My family :D
Kinlaw Family! Bailey loves to kiss :D
John and I grabbed some I Love New York Pizza on our way to Brad's :D I miss that place so much too! Brad was playing that night at Katmandu and we had decided to just stay at his place that night again. So we went back to his place, took a short nap, and then got ready for his show! Carter did pass out. haha I knew he would be fine while we were gone for a few hours. :D

John and I really couldnt wait for Brad's show! I have only been to a few and I LOVE hearing Brad play and sing. We rode with Brad to Katmandu and he went on stage almost right away. John and I went and met up with Krystal, Josh, Chris, Kristen, AJ, Thomas, pretty much a lot of our friends. Brad's shows are always so much fun because so many people from different areas of our life are there to listen. :D People that normally wouldnt hang out together, like Brads friends that we are friends with, Johns WRAL people, and of course our normal ring of friends. It was nice seeing people we dont get to see a lot, but miss!

During Brad's show, John Moody came up to me and asked me if I had worked at Adventure Landing when I was younger. I looked at him weird, because how would he know that about me!? Then he asked if I knew the guy sitting next to him, and sure enough I did! It was the first boss that had ever hired me- Ben. CRAZY! I went over and talked to him and caught up some. He told me all these crazy stories about what really went on at Adventure Landing when I was there. haha. It was fun and weird all at the same time!

Anyway, Brad did an amazing job as always. And even though he played for hours, it's never enough! I cant wait to hear him play again! After the show, we headed back to Brad's and went to bed :D Carter was angel while were gone and slept great through the night!
Brad and his band!

Saturday! Again, couldnt wait for this day either! In fact, we planned our whole trip home around this day. haha. Really, we planned our whole trip around American Aquarium. As you know they are our favorite band and we found out they were playing July 2nd. We just had to see them and it happened to work out for everyone for us to come home then. SCORE! :D

During the day Saturday, we got up and went over Hutch's for a pool party. We spent the day in the sun and spending time with all our friends :D Jennie came over with Jordyn, Thomas brought Rick and Carter and Bailey played and played again! I had two babies in my arms! My two favorite babies that is! :D We tried to get the pups in the pool and they both wanted out. haha, I think they just wanted to play together. They ended up ROLLING in the dirt and were SO dirty! They had a blast though.:D They played for about 4 hours straight. I have no idea how they have that much energy! We had a great time :D
Carter cuddled up on Brad on the way to Hutch's!
Brad and Rick! Two of my favorites!
Filthy!! but happy :D
Afterwards, we went and dropped Carter off at Mom and Dad Martins. They were dog sitting again for us :D Then we headed off to Brad's to get ready for the concert! After we got ready, we headed off to the Pour House. When we got there, the lead singer BJ was standing outside and saw us and was so surprised/excited to see us and gave us big hugs. I love knowing the band! haha We ran into a couple of the other members and then up and played some pool and had some drinks while waiting for American Aquarium to come on. They finally went on and of course we were in the front like old times :D We sang along and had a good time :D
Best friends :D
Us and Bill! He's the bass player and an AWESOME guy!
BJ and Bill playing :D
After the concert we went to Cookout- YUM. We ran into one of our basketball player- CJ Williams and a future potential player! We talked to them about the program for awhile. It was neat :D Then we headed back to Brad's and went to sleep. We had an early morning and a long day the next day!
Me and CJ!
Potential Future Wolfpacker!
We had SUCH an amazing time. EPIC WEEKEND! I miss weekends like this with our friends. *Sigh* I am so ready to be back in Raleigh.

"Daddy Day"

I have to give the show Weeds credit for this one. On the show, the father dies and leaves behind a wife and two sons. Well every year on a certain day they celebrate his life and do things that remind them of him, eat his favorite foods, watch his favorite movies, etc.

WELL, I decided this year that it would be a neat idea to do it for my dad. I talked to my mom, bro, sister, and John and we all decided we wanted to do it. We didnt make it a whole day, but we did an evening dedicated to him.

Wednesday after we got back from camping, John and I headed over to my parent's house. We picked up my family and then went out to get things that reminded us of dad. We ended up eating dinner at Subway, since he owned a bunch when we were little. Then we went to the grocery store and got some strawberries, cantaloupe, whoppers, milky ways, and of course cheesecake!

We went home and pigged out on everything! Then we played Wii bowling :D Daddy was great at bowling when he could play the real game, so one year we got him a Wii so he could still sorta play. So we played a few rounds of bowling and then watched Star Wars. If you ever knew my dad you know he LOVED Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to spend some time remembering who he was and all his favorites. :D

This was our first year doing it, so I wasnt sure how it would go over. BUT it was great! Next year will be even better :D We have already planned to actually go bowling :D I already cant wait!
I didnt get may pictures, but I did get my mom playing the Wii :D

I love and miss you so much daddy! Daddy Day was a great way to spend part of my vacation for sure :D

Waterfalls and Camping!

The first Monday through Wednesday of our vacation we decided we wanted to go camping in the mountains. John really misses hiking and camping and we both really miss the hills. Florida is so flat. We thought it would be fun to and we asked John's family to go with us. Julie couldnt go, but John's parents agreed. Dad Martin was SO excited! Mom Martin was too, but she wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast. lol. She has never really camped before, so we took her for her first time :D

We decided to go to place that had a lot of waterfalls to see :D Dad and Mom Martin knew it was something I really wanted to do before my next birthday so we made sure we to go to a place that had some :D So very thoughtful of them! We decided that we were going to Dupont State Forest Park. It is about 5 hours from Raleigh.

We got up pretty early on Monday (Mom Martin got Carter out of his crate and walked him and fed him while we got ready :D SO NICE!) and I think we left about 10? Cant remember exactly. Anyway, it was nice to chat and talk on the ride there. I started getting car sick so I took some motion sickness medicine and it knocked me out again. I hate sleeping so much in the car :( We also stopped at Bojangles and then took it to a rest area so we could have a picnic! Also, so Carter could stretch :D

After we ate we took Carter for a walk. He got to meet his first cow! :D The cow moved towards him and he RAN behind John. LOL. He kept trying to sniff the cow and then he would run from it. silly pup. After that we got back in the car and headed on. We had gotten Carter a big bone to chew on to help keep him busy since he wasnt going to have a lot of room in the car. It worked out well. He ended up sleeping most of the time and then chewed on it some. SUCH a good dog!

Before we got to the campsite we made a quick stop at the first waterfall!!! It was called Looking Glass Falls and was just beautiful. God is such an artist! We got a bunch of pictures of course! :D
SO PRETTY! (even if the water was dirty from the storm)
YAY!! FIRST WATERFALL EVER!
Looking Glass Falls and Mom and Dad Martin!
Once we got there we met the ranger and then grabbed some of our stuff and went to our campsite. Of course it had just rained. The ranger said they had gotten about an inch of rain in about a 20 minute span of time just before we got there. of course. and that's A LOT of rain! Everything was wet and the trees held a lot of rain so it still felt like it was somewhat raining while we were setting up, even though it wasnt actually raining.

Our campsite was down a steep hill, so we tried to make as few trips as possible. it was a KILLER hill! haha. We tied Carter up to a tree while we set everything up, otherwise he would have been in our way. We put up the two tents (ours was huge! thanks Kristen and AJ!) and set up a tailgating tent over the picnic table and put the rest of the stuff under it so it wouldnt get wet. After we got set up, we went for a walk to check out the camp. We ended up going to play horseshoes! FUN:D I dont remember who won though. haha. That was also the only place in the campsite that had Wifi. It was really nice to not have to worry about emails or phone calls or anything! Great break from technology and it was much needed.
Our eating area and Mama Martin!
Our HUGE tent!
Mom and Dad Martin's tent
It started to get dark not long after so we headed back and made dinner. We made chicken fajitas! We were camping in style ;D We had SO much stuff, but it made camping very comfortable. haha The site we stayed at also had some of the cleanest bathrooms ever for a campsite! Anyway, the fajitas were delicious :D After that we cleaned up and then played some cards. It was very nice and relaxing :D Then we went to bed. It was pretty early for us, but we were all pretty tired and there's not much to do when it's pitch black out. haha. Carter got half of the tent. haha

The next morning we got up and got ready and made omelets! YUM. We slept in a little bit, but that was good because the first half of the night I woke up every time I heard a noise because I wasnt used to the outdoor noises. haha. After breakfast and getting ready we headed out to go hiking. We had to drive to Dupont State Forest Park. There isnt a campsite at that park to stay, so that's why we stayed where we did.
Ready to hike!

Anyway, we parked and all got out and started the hike. After we hadnt hiked too far, we got to see the first set of waterfalls. They were called Triple Falls. GORGEOUS!
Triple Falls :D
Mom and Dad Martin
We ended up hiking past those and up to the next falls, which was called High Falls. Hiking! pit stop:D
It was all up hill for the most part (makes sense because we were on a mountain trying to get to the waterfalls, but boy was it a lot of work!) Carter was a champ the whole time! When we got to the top of the High Falls, there is a bridge that overlooks it. Before the bridge there was a place to walk up to the water before it "falls". Carter drank a bunch and got in and played. He chased some butterflies and other bugs. It was fun seeing him in the water. He definitely needed it because it was HOT out!
High Falls
Carter at the High Falls :D

Playing in the water :D

After that we headed back to where we started from! I think it was about 3 miles total. It felt like most of it was uphill. haha. GREAT exercise!! On the way back to the car, there was one steep hill down and Carter started to go down it and couldnt stop. haha. We were yelling for him to stop until we realized he couldnt. When he finally did stop he turned around with the BIGGEST eyes. It was SO funny!!
Tired after 3 miles! haha we were both panting!

When we got back to the car we looked for a place to eat lunch and couldnt really find one anywhere close. So we ate out of the back of the truck. lol.

After lunch we hiked or really walked to the last waterfall we saw. It was a very popular swimming hole too and since John and I brought our suits we decided to swim! This waterfall was called Hooker Falls. It was a short waterfall, but beautiful like the rest! We got in to swim and got Carter to come in. He hated it and clawed to get out. lol Dad Martin, John and I swam while Carter hung out with his grandma. John convinced me to swim up to the waterfall and get behind it. There was also a rock that was smooth so you slide out under the waterfall. We did it twice. It was AWESOME!!! The water was freezing, but refreshing! SO MUCH FUN and such a cool experience!!
Hooker Falls
YAY! After we came out from under it :D
Our family! Carter was mad at us for putting him in the water. lol
After that it started to thunder and we knew in a matter of minutes it would be raining. We hurried back to the car and JUST made it! We drove back to the campsite and relaxed some. We fed Carter some food even though it wasnt his dinner time because he NEVER gets THAT much exercise and we figured he needed it. Anyway, John and Dad Martin started getting firewood together and Mom Martin and I started cutting up everything for dinner. We were going to have hobo dinners. YUM! :D While all this was going on we let Carter off his leash and let him explore. He was so good and LOVED the outdoors! John and his dad got the fire started and after it calmed down some we put the hobo dinners on the fire. (A hobo dinner is like onions, carrots, mushrooms, potatoes, some type of beefs, and really whatever else you want to put in it. Then you wrap it up in tin foil and put it on the fire!) The dinner took forever to cook, so we just sat around the fire and hung out. The boys took turns showering. We fed Carter and he explored some. After dinner Carter kept going up to the tent and trying to look in. The second time we were like, maybe he is tired and wants to go to bed. and he did. He got right in and fell right to sleep! He has NEVER done that! We thought it was hilarious he asked to go to bed early. haha.
Building our fire
Carter taking it all in. haha
Keeping the fire going :D

Passed out after he went to bed. lol

We made s'mores after that! YUMMY! We put peanut butter on ours. This will happen every time from now on if possible. It made them SO much better! haha. After that we watched the fire die and packed up some. We had to leave kind of early because we had plans for dinner and stuff with my family Wed night. We did as much as we could before we went to bed and decided to get up pretty real early because we knew it would take a long time to pack up (we took everything in the world camping with us. lol).

We got up about 6:30. We were going to do 7, but Carter got up and had to potty so I just went ahead and got up. He went 3 times! Then within the next 30 minutes he went 3 more times! I didnt know a dog could hold that much poo in him! haha. Anyway, we broke down the camp and hauled everything back to the car. Then we showered and went into town. John's parents wanted to check out the little shops since they were looking for new art for their walls. The town was called Brevard and was a neat little town! We saw a bunch of art and then John and I broke off and went into the toy store. haha. It was the COOLEST toy store ever! We had a lot of fun in it:D
Playing with the toys!bahahaha his wolf puppet was attacking him....
Yes, that's John racing a little kid. haha
After we left we got lunch at Zaxby's, YUMMY!! and then headed home! We also stopped by the house in Ashville that Julie was going to be moving in to soon. It was cute!

When we got back we had to reput up the tents and lay everything out to dry. Camping is a lot of work!

Camping was AWESOME. It was SO relaxing and we had such a good time with his parents! I forgot to mention that Tuesday was Mom and Dad Martin's anniversary! He suprised her with a gift basket! Yes, the camp offered those! SO CUTE! :D We definitely plan to go camping more often once we move back to Raleigh! :D
Happy Anniversary!!
