CRAZY FRIDAY!

So, this past Friday was ridiculous! I know I just blogged about the weekend, but I forgot to talk about Friday and it deserves it's own post. lol

I get up and head to the gym and while I am on the treadmill I get a text from one of my RAs that said "I just saw 10 cop cars fly down South Dixie! I wonder what is going on!" I just wrote it off because it could have been anything. Well about 10 minutes later I get a University text alert telling me that there is a hostage situation at the Bank of America across the street from UM. I was like WHAT!? lol

On my way home I could see all the helicopters and hear lots of cop cars. Did I mention that this is VERY close to where I live? I get home and turn on the news and find out that US 1 is closed and that there is a bank robber holding someone hostage. CRAZY. There were cops out with snipers and everything!

Well I leave for work and can see the bank from where I turn. I saw the cops with their guns out and everything. crazy. Well I get to work and talk to some of the people I work with and it is not even a big deal to them at all! Raleigh would have FREAKED!

So the situation turned out that a bank executive and his son were kidnapped the night before and then taken to the bank the next morning with a bomb strapped to one of them. crazy. Everyone was fine and safe, but the robbers got away.

Gotta love Miami!

After that mess, I am taking John home from lunch and see a young lady sitting in the middle of the road. Turns out she was in the crosswalk and got hit by a car. She was okay, I got out and helped and did my job thing. She was thrown about 10ft when the car hit her and put a good dent in the hood. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and to clean up her cuts. Just crazy. How do you not stop for someone in a crosswalk? The lady said she didnt know they had the right away. GEEZ. some people shouldnt drive. lol

Anyway, it was just one thing after another that day- so I thought I would share :D

Weekend Fun! :D

So this weekend John and I finally got to go to the beach again! YAY! we had not been in about 3 weeks, so we thought it was time :D I got FRIED :( I dont usually get burned, John does. but it was completely reversed this time. I got burned and John did not. I even put on sun screen twice. oh well. It is going away and does not hurt anymore. A little itchy- i hate that stage. I also noticed I have all these little itchy bumps all over me. I hope that my skin is just reacting to new aloe lotion we bought and it's not something else. I am going to stop using it so we shall see.

I have such sensitive skin! I hate it! My skin reacts funny to so many random things. Most lotions and soaps are fine, but every now and then my body freaks out to something. I am also allergic to nickel and have to wear sensitive skin jewelry because of it. pain in the butt. I think the worst thing about it is that the button on jeans has nickel in it and sometimes around my belly button I will break out because of it. I've resorted to painting them all with clear fingernail polish. It works great :D. Bugs also love my skin, so I always get eaten up. Drives John crazy. lol

Anyway, the rest of the weekend was of course fabulous! Football all day Saturday is great :D and most importantly my Wolfpack are 4-0!!!! What in the world! I LOVE IT! :D Cant wait for the game this weekend! I am PUMPED!

Dexter also had it's season premiere Sunday night!! I love Dexter :D it was a bit depressing though- however I wont spoil anything if you watch :)

YAY to a great, but short weekend!

Halo Reach

I am not good, but I love playing it- especially with John. I know I am dork :D That's all :D

Couch to 5K

It's pretty much kicking my butt. So is my supervisor. lol. I went to the gym one morning and Artie was there. I was just going to run but when I asked Artie what she was doing she was still going to 40 more minutes of cardio and lift weights. This woman is crazy! I felt so lazy that I matched her. lol And then we decided to start going together in the mornings to hold each other accountable. I am really glad that I have her holding me accountable because there are many times I want to stay in bed, but then feel bad when I know she is there waiting on me.

Our routine usually goes- get to the gym at 7am (I know SO freaking early!) and lift weights firsts. We alternate legs and arms each day. Then we do 20 minutes of cardio on one machine and then 20 more on another. We also mix it all up every now and then (for example we did stair master today).

During those 20 minute blocks I take one of those and do my couch to 5K routine. It's supposed to be 20 minutes of alternating between jogging and walking- check it out here: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml I've been doing this for awhile now- but it's SO hard! lol I am still on week 3. It's okay though because I am trying even though I loathe running.

Yesterday and today I started feeling dizzy and nauseous while I was exercising and it really worried me! I did some research and found that I probably just have low blood sugar. I dont eat before I go to the gym and I think thats my culprit! Today I had a granola bar and still got dizzy, so I think I need to add some vitamins and orange juice or something. I'll let you know how it works out :D

With everything that has been going on in my life the past few months I have not been able to lose as much weight as I had wanted to- but I have lost a total of 6lbs since I got to Miami, so at least that is something! and now I am working on it hard!

My office :D

So, here it is, in all it's glory and where I spend most of my time if I am not at home. lol. I LOVE my office :D Pictures took forever to post because I was waiting on facilities to hang my pictures.
My office is dead center of the two buildings I work in- therefore I have two doors. I dont much like it, but that's how it is and there is nothing to be done about it. Here is the door to the Mahoney side and the one I use the most because it's closer for me to park and easier for me to get to this way. Otherwise I have to go through a computer and work room that is tiny and always packed.

And this is what you see when you walk in that door :D

Everything is brand new- the carpet, the paint, the furniture. I LOVE the furniture! It's really nice- especially since the old stuff included those old metal desks. yuck. lol.

Here is my office from the other door on the Pearson side:

And the beautiful artwork I get to see while I am sitting at my desk working on my compy :D

I am still trying to get a little table to go in between those two chairs (not my favorite chairs by the way) and I am still getting "desk furniture." What I mean by that is like a thing to hold my cards and shelve things so I dont have papers all over my desk :D

Home Sweet Home

YAY! so we FINALLY got our apartment almost the way it will be when we are done with it. haha. These pictures were taken just before we found out we would be getting a matching loveseat to go with the couch. It should get here next week and I'll post more pictures then. It will be really nice when we do get it so we will have more seating for when people come over :D

Let's start with the kitchen!

The white door is the entrance to our apartment. To the left is our laundry room closet thing. lol I didnt take a picture of it because it isnt interesting :D What you see in this picture is our fabulous kitchen cart that John and I put together. It provides us with some pantry space since we dont have a pantry. So part of our food is in there and part of it is in the laundry closet on the shelves. The kitchen cart is bamboo-so it goes with a lot of our stuff well :D The floor is also this really pretty tile that I like a lot.

Here is the rest of the kitchen! It's actually pretty big for how small our apartment is!

This is me trying to get all of the kitchen in one shot- kinda hard. lol

Alrighty, so that is pretty much it for the kitchen- here is the living room! this is a shot from the kitchen...ps. i LOVE ceiling fans! oh and the blinds you see- you can pull them either up or drop them down. pretty cool :D

Here is our comfy couch! It's that microfiber type of material and is also a pull out queen bed- so if you are coming to visit this year- this is where you would sleep :D

Here is my attempt at getting as much of the livingroom in one shot as possible :D Depending on how bit the loveseat is- we are going to try and put it where that chair is. and move the chair to the other side of the coffee table. All of the furniture they got us is really nice- not all my favorite taste- but it's all really nice. We threw in the tree because it looked empty on that side of the room. haha. You can also see the coffee table in this shot- it's really neat- the top slides open so we are able to use the inside for storage!

And of course our wonderful entertainment system! :D Our living room wouldnt be complete without it :D and you KNOW we were watching football! haha I also forgot to mention the floors- they are all wooden. it's really nice. so the only carpet we have is the throw rug in the living room and the bathroom and kitchen mats. I wasnt sure I would like it- but I do. It makes it look fancy. lol
Moving on to the bedroom...

To door you see the right is the door that leads to the living room, what you see in front of you is a bookshelf. it's slanted so it wont hold a lot, so we just put decorative things on it.

On the other side of the door that leads to living room is Johns desk :D it fits perfectly!

Next the desk is our dresser and our mounted TV for the room. They provided this TV for us and it is AWESOME having it in the bedroom! In previous posts I talk about staying in bed and watching football- well this is what I watch it on :D

Here's the bed, it's kind of in a nook- but it works for us. You cant see the bedframe but it has 3 draws on each side of it for more storage. The university was really good about getting furniture that would provide storage space since there isnt a lot in our apartment.

To the right is our ONLY closet in the apartment. We've made it work. lol

Here is my attempt at a picture of the whole room. lol The desk chair gets in the way some, but i'd rather have it than not. I thought all our furniture in the room would make it look smaller, but I think it actually makes it look bigger. lol.

And last but not least- our bathroom... Starting from when you walk in the door, here is our sink and you can kinda see the other side through the mirror. I think the drawer thing under the towels is ugly and does not match any of our stuff. It does help with storage- but very ugly. lol

A little bit more of our bathroom. I got rid of our white bath mats. who does that? who buys white. silly me. So we got brown this time. lol our shower curtain hooks and stuff on the counter match :D
Here is the other side. Again, ugly cabnit thing. but I LOVE the picture! a friend of mine painted it herself and gave it to me for my 22nd birthday :D Thanks Michelle! I told you I would put it up! it matches our bathroom perfect so we put it in here :D

My attempt at the whole bathroom :D
And that's it for now! Even though it's kinda small and we dont have a ton of space- we LOVE living here:D So if you ever want to come visit and stay- we dont have tons of space, but can make it work and would love to have you! :D

marriage :D

Marriage is an amazing entity. Really- it is hard to describe it in all its glory! I am one very blessed girl to have found my true love at such a young age. Now, I don’t actually think I “found” him, but I know God put him in my life at the perfect moment. I met John in Spanish class the fall of our sophomore year in high school and he became my best friend. He was able to meet my dad once before my dad had his stroke, which I am so thankful for! I am glad he got to meet my dad in the state that I remember him in as a child. But really, God had perfect timing because February that same sophomore year was when my dad had his major stroke. John was with me through all of this from the very beginning and I really cant even begin to tell you how blessed I am for that. I think it’s funny how you don’t even realize why things are happening the way they are and then you look back and see exactly what God had in plan. It’s pretty neat :D Anyway, God knew then that John would be my husband one day and placed him in my life at probably the perfect time in my life. I have been able to grow with John in amazing ways and share my life with him since I was 15. I know this is special and I cherish it every day.

So, back to what I stated at the beginning about marriage being an amazing entity. I love being married! John is not only an amazing man, but an even better husband and best friend. Again, I am so glad he came into my life at such an early age so he got to see who I was inside and out for many years- the good, the bad, and the ugly. He also helped shape who I am today. So being together for 8 years and married for 2 has definitely had its up and definitely had its downs. BUT the coolest thing is- that no matter what either of us is going through, says, or does- we are still married and have this amazing connection that lets us work through whatever is going on. Some days I want to scream at him for the smallest things and some days I know he feels the same! But the overwhelming thing about it all- is that our love for each other goes so deep that none of that matters. I think the best thing about marriage so far for me is that I really do love John more each day. I get to be exactly who I am and he gets to be exactly who he is and we get to grow together. We get to share everything. While that may overwhelm some people- I feel so blessed to have him in my life and get to share all of that with him. I am sure I will have more to say on this later, but that’s all for now :D

I love you John <3

How many times?

Last week was a pretty rough week for me. I was sad all week and could really feel the depression from the loss of my dad. I HATE feeling like this! I can feel it getting worse and I've noticed that I have started to feel lonely. I actually didn't realize that that was the feeling I was having until I was listening to a song at the gym this morning. It's from Third Day- When the rain comes- and starts like this:

"When the rain comes you think that everyone has gone away.
When the night falls you wonder if you shouldn't find someplace,
To run and hide,
Escape the pain,
But hiding's such a lonely thing to do." (great song, you should listen to it)

I realized that I have not wanted to talk about it with anyone. When I think about my dad I get super sad and just feel like I cant deal with it. I am pretty much hiding from my feelings and as a result have started to feel lonely about it. I am glad that that song played today so I could understand what was happening to me.

I have also felt so bad lately because I am tired ALL the time. John makes fun of me because I like to sleep a lot anyways, but it has gotten a lot worse. I actually got mad at John last night because we were watching football and I fell asleep and he seemed sad. All he wanted to do was spend time with me and I got mad, well first I was upset at myself and then I just got mad. Oh my dramatic side. I realize now though that I have been sleeping an abnormal amount and it's not fair to him or to me. So, I did a little research and found that everything I am going through is normal and the best thing for me to do now is to talk about how I am feeling. UGH. I don't want to do that. haha. BUT if it will help me accept my dad's death, I'll try anything. I just don't want to be sad anymore and feel like crying all the time. I just want to be my old happy self :D

I also starting feeling like I wasn't pleasing everyone that I need to be. Like I am being stretched to thin. If I sit down and think about it- I am really not being stretched too thin, even though I feel like I am. Hence, I am taking my very non stressful life right now and making it stressful - that's something I have always been good at.

So as I was thinking about all of this this morning at the gym, another song came on. Again, by Third Day- Take My Life- and goes like this:

"How many times have I turned away?
The number is the same as the sand on the shore.
But every time,
You've taken me back.
And now I pray You do it once more.

Please take from me my life,
When I don't have the strength,
to give it away to You Jesus.

How many times have I turned away?
The number is the same as the stars in the sky.
But every time You've taken me back.
And now I pray You do it tonight.

Please take from me my life,
When I don't have the strength,
to give it away to You Jesus."

It made me realize even more- why am I trying to do this all by myself? Why do I always try to do everything by myself? ESPECIALLY,when I have a God so great that will help me through it all. So I asked myself today- how many times? how many times am I going to turn away? and when that does happen, I pray that Jesus takes my life from me when I don't have the strength to give it to Him. He can help me get through the loss of my dad and He can help me not always be so stressed out. I just have to always remember to give it to Him. It seems so simple- yet so easy to forget.

Needless to say, I am so glad that I chose to run to Third Day this morning. Hopefully this was the realization that I needed to start moving past the sadness to celebrating the good times I had with my dad :D and moving past the stress and worry to knowing that God can handle everything I give Him and I can handle everything He gives me :D

FOOTBALL!

This weekend is EXACTLY what I needed :D I dont know what the deal was with last week- but it kicked my butt. I was tired and could not stop thinking about my dad- so i was just sad all week. Blah.

BUT then, this weekend happened! and you know what I did- NOTHING! :D Saturday I got up and stayed in bed:D John turned on the football and I watched it in bed for hours. It was AWESOME! I got up to eat and shower, but it was just so great laying in bed and having no obligations for the day :D On top of that awesomeness, I got to catch up with my best friend :D I dont like talking on the phone and she doesnt either, but we definitely talked on the phone for 4 hours! crazyness! there was just that much we needed to catch up on. It was awesome because I talked to her and John caught up/got to play games with Josh like they used to back in Raleigh. It was kind of like hanging out with them! LOL cheesy and kind of lame I know- but I miss them dearly so it was great :D ALSO- and here is the BEST part- when we go home in October, they are going to come to Raleigh too!! We were not going to be able to see them until Christmas (which would have been 6 months!) but now we get to see them early October :D We decided we were going to celebrate our birthdays together- birthday 25 is going to be even more amazing now :D

After getting to spend time with our best friends, John and I went over to Nate and Leigh Ellen's to watch the State game. They are so great :D They get the channel the State game was on and let us come over and take over their TV. They are always such good company too. We decided that we were going to go to church with them and go shopping some and then watch football with them on Sunday by the end of the night! LoL.

So, we had all these great plans for Sunday- but then of course I had some bad sinuses going on and didnt sleep well, so I felt crappy when I woke up. Bad headache, sinuses bothering me, and my throat was all gross from sleeping with my mouth open because I couldnt breathe out of my nose. So needless to say we didnt end up going to church or going shopping :( I felt so bad for not going, my body just was not happy. So I stayed in bed again- and it was awesome again :D took a nap and then did laundry and then watched more football in bed. true greatness. lol I was feeling much better later and we went over to their place to watch Redskins v. Cowboys. What a great game! We left their place the last few minutes of the game though because Trueblood was going to be coming on. I must say that I LOVE having friends here that like football as much as John and I do! :D

Here is a picture of Nate and Leigh Ellen! We were out watching the season opener- Vikings vs. Saints :D

I feel truly blessed to have them in our lives. I did not even know them for 3 weeks when my father passed away and Nate was one of the first people to come straight over to our apartment and give me a hug. They are really that nice of people. And the best part is we like a lot of the same things and we all get along really well. Leigh Ellen and I have SO much in common- so I really enjoy hanging out with them. They are our dinner buddies, football buddies, and soon to be Dexter watching buddies! lol Yay for food friends :D

So let me move on to Trueblood- what an awful season finale! I was SO disappointed.:(
to me it was just like every other episode- nothing speical :(Now I have to wait a whole year before it comes on again. On the bright side- John and I also finished Dexter- all caught up now before the new season begins. OH MY GOODNESS! The season 4 finale is how a finale is supposed to be! TOO excited for it to start up :D
Anyways, that is pretty much it to my weekend. It was VERY relaxing and I got to spend some good quality time with the hubby-just what I needed!

Labor Day Weekend

Oh MAN! what a weekend! we had TOO much fun :D We got really lucky with the weather this weekend as it only down poured when we were not planning on being outside! crazy good luck for Miami! We also ate most of our meals in our fabulous dining hall to help save on money since we were going to be spending so much in other areas this week. BUT we justified it because we don't usually go and do this stuff ourselves and were kind of waiting on friends to come down to do it with! haha. Anyway, Kristen and AJ really liked the dining hall too so it was not a big deal at all that we ate there. :D

We started out the weekend by taking them to one of our fabulous Miami beaches :D Here is a picture of AJ getting ready. lol

We spent most of the day on the beach and then decided that we were going to try out the Casino in Hollywood. AJ LOVES black jack and pretty much the casino in general, so we figured we could try it out while they were here. When we got there it was just like it was in the movies. John and I had never been in one, so it was a neat experience. Since it was a Friday night all the tables were really expensive to play on and the cheaper ones were full and really hard for AJ to get on. None of us ended up spending money and left. We told AJ that there would be a casino on the cruise we were taking on Sunday, so he was cool with that. Unfortunately, you cant take pictures so I don't have anything to show you :(. However, on the way to the casino there was a huge check point where they were testing everyone to see if they had been drinking and driving. it was crazy and I have never seen anything like it! They directed all the traffic into this huge parking lot and were testing people. We got SO lucky because they cut the line off 1 car before us! Not that drinking and driving was an issue for us, but we would have been there FOREVER. There were literally a ridiculous amount of cars in this parking lot and more cops in one place than I have ever seen! talk about getting lucky and not having to waste all that time!

Anyway, when we got back Friday night we were EXHAUSTED! a full day in the sun and driving a good distance to the casino took it out of us! We hung out for a bit and got ready for the next day and then went to bed. Early, I know- BUT we were waking up crazy early to drive to Key Largo!

KEY LARGO! I love this place. it's one of my favorites so far!! We decided to charter a boat for the day! the charter started at 8 am so we left Coral Gables around 7am. When we got there the boat was waiting (sadly, we didn't get there until 9)! We loaded up and set sail! here is a picture of the boat :D

Our first destination was the furthest out and is a famous snorkeling spot. Apparently, there is a huge Jesus Christ statue under the water there! It was a few miles from where we were, so it took a bit to get there. Unfortunately, it was kind of stormy out so the water was rough. It made for a very interesting and fun ride out there! However, when we got there and hook the boat up (you cant drop anchor because of the reefs) the boat was very rocky. It made Kristen feel really bad so she didn't get out and snorkel with us. It took us forever to find Jesus. LOL. but we finally found him. Our little joke was that John, AJ, and I finally found Jesus. haha. here are some pictures:

AJ and I on the hunt for Jesus...

Jesus!

John convinced me to try and dive down so I could get a picture with him and Jesus. I don't dive down so I was proud of myself for getting this far! It really hurt my ears :( I think if I new how to not make it hurt my ears so much, I wouldn't mind diving down as much. I guess that just means I need to go back and practice:D

Anyway, all of this actually took a few hours and Kristen was feeling pretty bad so she wanted us to take her back to the car. I felt really bad because I didn't want to drop her at shore and go have fun without her! Luckily, she started feeling a bit better on the ride back and we found this sandy spot where a lot of other boats were and got out and chilled in the water. She was able to hang out for the rest of the afternoon after that. We had packed our lunch the night before so we had lunch and just hung out for a long time. next time we are definitely bringing floats! We got creative and used the life jackets. LOL! it worked though! the water was perfect and the day was just SO relaxing! More pictures:

When we had about 1 1/2 hours left we took the boat out to drive some. It was SO much fun. Now I want a boat. lol. We stopped at another point and tried to snorkel again, but there wasn't much to see :(. it was still a lot of fun tho! I think the only thing missing from this trip was Krystal and Josh- Josh LOVES boats and wants one, so I wish they could have been there to enjoy it with us. don't worry, Josh! we'll just do it again when you come visit!!

So Saturday was even better after all of that because it was the FIRST STATE GAME! WOOO! we got pizza and took it home and made it just after kickoff. I dont remember the last time I was so tired! I ended up falling asleep during the game :(. I woke back up at the end of it tho. I was STOKED to see that we have a live mascot now! of course it would happen the year that we leave :( but at least it happened!

Sunday, was another amazing day. We got up super early again and drove to Fort Lauderdale. Our day cruise was leaving from there at 8:30am. The line to check in was SO long, but SO worth it! We got on the boat and had an awesome time. The trip included a breakfast buffet, dinner buffet, all the drinks we wanted, and of course a stop in the Bahamas! On board there were a few decks that you could lay out and tan on and there was a pool. There were also game rooms, a casino, and a few places where different activities were taking place. The boat wouldn't get to the Bahamas until 2ish so we spent a lot of the morning hanging out, played some trivia, checked out the boat, and just had a lot of fun. We tried to stay out of the sun though because Kristen, John, and AJ were fried from the previous days. I don't know how I didn't really get burnt! Boat pictures:

Around 2pm we got to Freeport. It was absolutely beautiful. I want to stay a night or two next time we go! When we got there we were STARVING. So first up was lunch. We didn't have a ton of time on the island, so we tried to go fast. We asked our cab driver (because you have to take a cab to get from the port to anything really. there is nothing around the port) what he recommended and he said Zorba's. We weren't sure about it and asked this lady that started talking to us and she recommended the same place, so that was where we went. It was pretty good. John and I split a cracked conch dinner, which included fried cracked conch, white rice, and plantains. YUMMY! we also go conch chowder to share. I could have done without the "chowder." It was basically vegetable soup with conch in it. It was good, but could have done without it. lol.

After lunch we walked around the marketplace some and then headed toward the beach. Everything was SO clean! the water there is even clearer than it is here in Miami. I couldn't believe it! It was really breathtaking and hard to believe that it even exists! God is an amazing creator! Next, we went souvenir shopping. Since we collect shot glasses we were trying to find a fun one and not the same old ones. We couldn't really find one so we didn't get one this trip. Next time I want to save up some spending money because they have some really neat stuff! Here are some pics:

This looks like a fake picture to me!

When we got back to the boat it was almost dinner time so we hung out for a bit and then ate dinner. We watched most of the sunset, which was beautiful and then went and watched some Karaoke. was fun but there was this really annoying kid who kept signing up to sing. I don't remember the last time I wanted to hit a kid- but this one made me close to actually doing it. lol. then when the boat got closer to land we hung out on the deck watched.

It was great. We will definitely do it again- but probably not just him and me. It's much more of a friends hang out thing. Good times tho. We didn't get home until 12ish, hung out for a bit and then passed out! After those few days I was EXHAUSTED! We just hung out around UM on Monday. I gave them a tour of campus and then we played some cards and watched a movie. Then it was time to say goodbye :(. Great trip tho!

It also just so happened to be AJ's birthday weekend, so we had a lot of fun with him turning 25! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AJ! :D

Overall a VERY successful weekend and SO much fuN! I cant wait until we save up some money and get to do some of it again!!

Finally a picture of the 4 of us...

AJ and Kristen!

SO excited that some of our best friends AJ and Kristen Klingenmaier have made their way down to Miami for the long weekend! This weekend is going to ROCK! besides college football, we are going to have an amazing time with them :D

They flew in yesterday at 9am and have now seen south beach and eaten at our amazing dininghall here on campus. yes, it is actually amazing food. :D good thing too because John and I eat there every lunch and dinner for the most part to save money. Doing that we will be able to save SO much! :D (hopefully :D)

Anyway, we have tons of stuff planned so far! including, a trip to the bahamas on a day cruise! AHH! i am SO excited about that one! i will keep you posted on what we plan and do. :D

So I was trying to find a picture of the four of us to post and couldnt find one of us that was not at our wedding or theirs that did not have other people in it! this is CRAZY! then it made me really sad because most of the pictures include our other best friends, Krystal and Josh, and while this trip will be awesome, it just wont be the same without them here. So, here is a picture of all 6 of us. It's me and John, Krystal and Josh, and then AJ and Kristen. Wish ya'll were here Krystal and Josh!

Here's to the best weekend here yet!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...:D

COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!! WOOT! This is pretty much my most favorite time of the year! So sad we are not in Raleigh to go to the State games, but I still love it all the same! :D This is also the first football season without my dad. sad :( Him and John are the reason I love football so much. UM's first football game was yesterday and they crushed it! 45-0. AWESOME!

Saturday is States first game and it's against Western- cant wait to watch it and deck myself out in red! There is too much orange and green here! haha. We will also be going to the NCSU v. Central Florida next week! It will be a LONG day since we will be driving both ways- but totaly worth it!

I am also doing fantasy football with some of my co-workers- I like doing it now because it gets me more excited about pro games and gets me interested in the players. So I am pretty pumped about that also!

Overall, football=happiness :D

Here is a picture of me and John and one of our state games in the past. :D
