CRAZY FRIDAY!

So, this past Friday was ridiculous! I know I just blogged about the weekend, but I forgot to talk about Friday and it deserves it's own post. lol

I get up and head to the gym and while I am on the treadmill I get a text from one of my RAs that said "I just saw 10 cop cars fly down South Dixie! I wonder what is going on!" I just wrote it off because it could have been anything. Well about 10 minutes later I get a University text alert telling me that there is a hostage situation at the Bank of America across the street from UM. I was like WHAT!? lol

On my way home I could see all the helicopters and hear lots of cop cars. Did I mention that this is VERY close to where I live? I get home and turn on the news and find out that US 1 is closed and that there is a bank robber holding someone hostage. CRAZY. There were cops out with snipers and everything!

Well I leave for work and can see the bank from where I turn. I saw the cops with their guns out and everything. crazy. Well I get to work and talk to some of the people I work with and it is not even a big deal to them at all! Raleigh would have FREAKED!

So the situation turned out that a bank executive and his son were kidnapped the night before and then taken to the bank the next morning with a bomb strapped to one of them. crazy. Everyone was fine and safe, but the robbers got away.

Gotta love Miami!

After that mess, I am taking John home from lunch and see a young lady sitting in the middle of the road. Turns out she was in the crosswalk and got hit by a car. She was okay, I got out and helped and did my job thing. She was thrown about 10ft when the car hit her and put a good dent in the hood. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and to clean up her cuts. Just crazy. How do you not stop for someone in a crosswalk? The lady said she didnt know they had the right away. GEEZ. some people shouldnt drive. lol

Anyway, it was just one thing after another that day- so I thought I would share :D
